The ANJ-4 (Army Navy Jacket) was the last sheep skin flight jacket made by the U.S. Armed Forces in 1943. All flight jackets thereafter were made of cloth. Being the last specimen of its kind, the ANJ-4 incorporates all the evolutionary features of its predecessors. It was used by all branches of the U.S. Forces like the Army and the Navy and saw action all over the world. After the war these jackets were used for all kinds of activities, which explains their rarity today.
