1947 Harvester Trousers French asphalt
The roots of our 1947 Harvester Trousers are in British Menswear. British mens´ Trousers in the 1920s had a slimmer leg compared to others mens trousers throughout the rest of Europe like France or Germany. Other typical features of that era are suspender buttons and a cinch back.
Our "French Asphalt" Fabric is made of 100% cotton and has its origins in French Workwear. French Asphalt was used as a light summer fabric. We have made the fabric to the original recipe from the last century. Although coming from the workwear field it does have more of an elegant appearance.
