1948 Troyer anthracite

The Troyer likely owes its name to the English town of Troy Town, although there are also indications that the term originates from Low German. Traditionally, the Troyer was knitted from pure wool, as this material possesses water-repellent and warming properties. Even when wet, wool retains warmth and protects against cold and wind – essential for workers who spent days at sea.

Its connection to maritime tradition makes the Troyer a timeless garment that embodies values such as durability, reliability, and simplicity.

Thanks to its timeless design, the Troyer has become an integral part of our collection. We craft it using RWS-certified Merino wool from the Italian spinning mill Tollegno to ensure the highest standard of quality.
